In the Big Apple and going to do the Big Bus Hop On Hop Off. Just don’t know how much hopping we will do. It was a bit of a very chilly wait for the bus. Alot of people and only 2 buses to start with. Definitely could have been more organized. When we finally got to board a bus, we decided to sit inside, so I lost the ability to take pictures. They gave us earbuds and the audio was clear and informative. We enjoyed seeing all the sights without walking. After the 2-hour red loop, we did the 1.5-hour blue loop up top. The traffic is really crazy to say the least. Horns blowing and more near misses than we could count. We decided it was hard enough to ride through the city, so driving would definitely be out of the question. I really liked Madison Ave and 5th Ave by Central Park. Then we had lunch at a deli and back on the red loop to the 911 Memorial, which is what Pat really wanted to see. Then back to the cruise ship. It really was a long, but good day. Trivia of the day — pay attention to the color of the street signs. Green are just street names. Brown are historical districts. Black are Lower Manhattan or financial districts. Blue are Midtown Manhattan or business district. Red are honorary names.
