Day at Sea and our last full day aboard the Emerald Princess. The ship was beautiful, but what made the trip special was the people. Our cabin steward Ryan from the Philippines was probably the best attendant we have ever had. He made our cabin home for our 14 days. He has been with Princess for 21 years. We always try to find our “favorite” bar. On the Emerald, it had to be Good Spirits because of Christian from Peru. When he found out I liked Fireball, he told me there wasn’t much on the ship and they would not be restocking it. Guess it’s not in high demand. But Christian found every last drop on the ship …. it got to be the standing joke. He’d see us coming, give me a smile or a frown, depending on his daily search results, then get Mr. Patrick’s drink ready … with extra ice. And to the best of his knowledge, there is not a drop of Fireball on the entire ship now!! We did not have standing dinner reservations, but we were seated at a table for 6 on night two. After having Julia and Samuel as our waiters, and welcoming us as family, four of us were willing to wait for a table every night there after just to have the smiling duo. We didn’t go to the dining room for the food, but for the friends we made there.
